I filmed the civic observances in Paintla in the morning and was back in Tecalpulco
by about 1.30 p.m. The celebration in Tecalpulco did not begin until about six p.m.
In Tecalpulco they are throwing "cascarones", which are eggshells filled with ashes.
In Paintla, the indians "apaches" are throwing oranges, and lemons, and guayabanas.
