''¿Qué buscas?'' = What are you looking for (seeking)

Familiar form addressing friends/family, children/younger people or those you know well.

''¿Qué estás buscando? = What are you looking for?''

You can use this present progressive form, shown directly above if the person is in the process of/act of looking when you are actually asking the question.

¿Qué busca? Polite form for addressing strangers, older people or people in authority.

¿Qué buscan? Form for addressing two or or more people. ( or ¿Qué buscáis? used in Spain)

I hope this helps wink smile grin

If they are in the process of looking right now, you could ask them:

¿Qué están buscando? (if you are talking to more than one person)

¿Qué está buscando? (one person)

¿Qué estás buscando? (a friend)
