In English.

Hello all. I'm starting this thread because I think it can help you learn Spanish. The objective is hearing the Spanish accent and translating the songs, because through listening you can learn a lot. You have to find and read the lyrics, translate them, and ask your doubts here. If you don’t understand a Spanish word in the lyrics, you ask about it here.

To start with, I've chosen one song of a popular Spanish group. It's a slow song and easy to understand. If you like this thread, I’ll post more songs and gradually increase the level of difficulty.

Please mention here whether or not you like the songs and understand the lyrics, or any other questions.......etc.

(Thanks Spanishpal for the correction jaja)

Gracias ^^.

The song / La canción

This is an interesting adaptation of the song "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas, as is noted on the linked site. The Spanish version starts with what sounds to me like a Celtic melody. The lyrics are very different, though.

Very nice Neox! I often use songs to learn! I heard so far the first , Pensando en tí . It was quite easy to understand.

But I don't understand what the singer means with:

necesito de tabla tu amor

Does he need a proof for her love maybe? Does he need her unconditionally love ?

Hola, Neox, here's a shot ot one of them . . . I'll come back and add the Spanish in the morning. . .

Calling Earth . . .

I have seen a light since Venus went out;
I have seen dying, a star in the sky of Orion; There is no sign, there is no sign of human life; and I am lost in time, lost in another dimension

(vocalizing)

I am the captain of the ship, I have the controls Calling earth hoping for an answer; I am a cowboy of the blue electric space; Two billion light years from my home I am

(vocalizing)

I would like to return, not to end (ever) this mission; I remember you, like a story of Science Fiction. I'm not so bad, I play poker with my computer; The days pass by, there's no news from the station. . .

(vocalizing)
