This is really good exercise everyone..because it depends on the context of the situation. If you are basically a thin person and being thin is part of your natural makeup then you use the verb SER (yo soy delgado o yo soy delgada) masc or fem.
However lets say that most of your life you were a fat pig and you went on a crash course diet and lost 100 lbs. in a matter of 10 days and you look in the mirror for the first time and you see this thin person you would use the verb ESTAR ( yo estoy delgado o yo estoy delgada) Because in the second case you "look" thin. It is a temporary change in your routine physical appearance. Of course if you maintain this look for a period of time you would eventually use the verb SER.
Soy delgado/a (depending on gender). Remember the ser uses: identifies, classifies, defines!
Just say "Soy flaco"
Or "Estoy flaco" if it's just for a short time, like if you are holding in your stomach.
Thanks drvicente, I nearly forgot that. And also it can mean sweetheart ![]()
The verb "ser" is used in this situation.
Do you want to say "I am a skinny person" or "I am thin now" ??
