Which one is the correct form for "I am thin" in Spanish? 1) Yo soy delgado. 2) Yo estoy delgado. 1) or 2)?

This is really good exercise everyone..because it depends on the context of the situation. If you are basically a thin person and being thin is part of your natural makeup then you use the verb SER (yo soy delgado o yo soy delgada) masc or fem.

However lets say that most of your life you were a fat pig and you went on a crash course diet and lost 100 lbs. in a matter of 10 days and you look in the mirror for the first time and you see this thin person you would use the verb ESTAR ( yo estoy delgado o yo estoy delgada) Because in the second case you "look" thin. It is a temporary change in your routine physical appearance. Of course if you maintain this look for a period of time you would eventually use the verb SER.

Soy delgado/a (depending on gender). Remember the ser uses: identifies, classifies, defines!

Just say "Soy flaco" cool smirk Or "Estoy flaco" if it's just for a short time, like if you are holding in your stomach.
