Spanish "AR" verbs--how to use them?

my home work is about AR verbs But I was sick and did not get to go to class the day of that lesson. What can you all tell me about them. How do I use them??? The first question on my home work says to use esquiar and put it in the blanks of this sintince: El _____ en el mar y yo _____ en el lago.

Please help me I realy need help with thease I have 40 qestions to turn in tomarow and I realy need the help...
