This was a phrase in a newspaper article in El Pais. I think it means "they haven't changed a thing". A nice phrase grin

It's in the 3rd line of this article ¿De quién es mi lengua?

I don't see it in our Phrasebook. Googling, I see a few uses of it, but not on the usual sites for idiomas, refranes, dichos, etc.

If you think it is an actual idiom or saying, you should submit it to the Phrasebook.

I think, however, it may have been a slight that was meant literally. They haven't even changed their hairstyle. (with your figurative meaning, of course), but it wouldn't be an idiom.

You're probably right, it just caught my eye and made me smile. I'd love to drop it into a conversation to see how it's received. I'll try that sometime this afternoon. How about boring the barman with a question about the catalan language embroglio and saying"

A pesar del auto que trata de castellano como lengua vehicular, los catalanes no han cambiado ni de pienado

grin jeje

Your post is misspelled. It should have been spelled "peinado", as in the linked article.
