What would you call a "wormhole" in Spanish?

I was talking about something science fiction related with a friend, and I have absolutely no idea how to express the term in Spanish. I know a simple answer would be "el agujero de gusano" but I was wondering if there is another word or phrase used for it, since it is a scientific term...

You were right with your first thought as it is translated as agujero de gusano or you could perhaps say agujero negro?

See, I'm thinking I may just go with my first thought. "Agujero negro" or a "black hole" is actually only part of a wormhole, anyway. Well, technically speaking. Thanks for the help, I feel slightly better about my slapstick translation. :D - VictoriaRose, Sep 10, 2011

Since "wormhole" is a recently invented technical scientific term, it is very possible that it is understood as "wormhole" in Spanish as well. Someone who has read Spanish texts in this area of study may be able to provide a definitive answer.
