What exactly are toallitas humedas?
My child is just starting school in Spain. The 5 year old class. On the list of items required are: un paquete de toallitas humedas. I'm unsure as to whether this refers to wet wipes as used for babies or to the moist toilet tissue wipes (flushable), that we use at home for wiping after toileting. What do you think?

Oh oh oh! I have these! They're called "Baby Wipes" in English here and they're cottony and wet. If there's a Lidl where you live you can buy sensitive-skin ones very cheaply.
They're great for when you're out and about and it's 30 degrees and you can't exactly run off somewhere to have a shower!

There are lots of pictures on Google images.
Here's a picture of the brand I get here in Spain:

They're more like wet wipes. There are no flushable toilet products here in Ecuador.
Welcome to the forum!
Wet wipes are small towels made of a paper product and soaked with a disinfectant. They can be of varying strengths and consistency, using different disinfectants. We use them in the clinic to cleanse services that routinely come in patient contact.
The ones the school is recommending are likely the disposable type used for cleansing toys and surfaces.
Here's an example.
Hope that helps!
I'm pretty sure they are the same thing, just packaged and marketed differently. If you see "baby wipes" that are cheaper than "wet naps," don't worry about getting those. They are just moist towelettes and serve the same purpose.
