How is the town of Paso Robles translated in English

Someone told me that Robles meant "rubble". I was sure it was not. The best I can come up with for Paso Robles (a town in Central California, where oaks abound) is "strong oaks" Am I close?

That city's website says "Pass of the Oaks".
