aprenderastela?
In lesson 2.9 Paralee is stating "you will learn another form...." & she appears to say "aprenderastela..." which kind of makes sense as it could be translated as "you will learn (because it's future tense) yourself (te) it (la). But nowhere can I find this particular combination. (I'm an older person, so maybe that's the problem!)

I think I've found the part. At 00:54 she says:
"Hoy aprenderás de la otra forma del pasado - el imperfecto."
"Today, you will learn about the other past form - the imperfect."
She actually is saying "...aprenderás de la".
It does sound a bit like she is saying "stela", but hey, that's Spanish for ya ![]()
So am I, but I don't think that is the problem in this case.
Pronouns are only attached to infinitives, the gerundio, or positive commands. They are not attached to conjugated verbs like the future tense (which would be aprenderás anyway). ...aste is a 2nd person, singular ending for the preterite tense (indicative mood).
You might be able to blame your hearing on your age, however. I do it all the time.

For me, it always makes sense to ask, after you've banged your head up against a wall long enough to feel the pain! ![]()
