Both are correct, but what do you want to say?

You are the young (one).

You are young.

Even in English, using the definite article changes the whole meaning of the sentence. Actually, the change in meaning is virtually identical in both languages. Maybe you need to be aware of how your language works first.

It could also mean, "Are you Chico?"

Or even "Is that you chico?"

All are good, depends what you wanna say

tú eres el chico = You're the boy

tú eres un chico = You're a boy

tú eres chico = You're small or You're young (this one is tricky, depends on the country you are, in Spain chico can mean young or small)

Chico is an informal word, its meaning changes with the countries. It can mean guy, boy, small and young.
