What ho, Spanish learners. I stumbled across an article on a parody twitter account publishing tweets by a certain "Miguel Bloombito" (Michael Bloomberg in Spanglish). It is not meant to be at all serious; it just reminded me of early Spanish classes. Regardless of anyone's political leanings, the Spanglish is hilarious and I wanted to share it with someone, so I'm sharing it with all of you. We all remember when we invented words that it turns out didn't exist. This is like the twitter account of a(n invented) politician who's just had a two week Spanish course and is using Google translate to fill in the gaps. smile Here's the link, and a selection of my favorite tweets:

"No collecto todos los garbage today. Pero que si your usual dia esta today por favor to leave it at los curb anyway. Que stinky!"

"El schools de educationa publicas que starto on Septembre 8. Learnamente! Knowledge estan powerador!"

"Por favor no llamando el 911 unless un emergenciando. Por que el clog los lines. No emergenciando? Llamanding para el 311."

"Cuidado! Prohibido to down los trees solomente. Llamano el cuidad para helpayudo. Que injurido! El ouch!"

Anyone up for a linguistic challenge can check out the original article from el Periódico here. It's in Catalan, but if you're really interested, here's a dictionary.

Do you mean to imply that that is not correct Spanish? Sigh! So much for my writings! Those expressions look exactly like my attempts at writing in Spanish. - 0074b507, Aug 31, 2011
jajajaja, qfreed. They look like my attempts at writing in English, too. - LuisCache, Aug 31, 2011
