The word savannah comes from Spanish!!! English borrowed this word from Spanish "sabana" in the 16th century, and Spanish borrowed it from Taíno, the language spoken in the Bahamas, Greater Antilles before Columbus.
So, how to say a Spanish word in Spanish? "Sabana".
