"Son las doce de la noche" o "es medianoche" are other ways to say it.

Welcome to the forum!

I would write

medianoche

but you probably want the other way of saying it.

I'm thinking it might be

son las doce de la mañana

"de" la mañana when a specific time is mentioned. - 0074b507, Aug 30, 2011
Thank you. :) - 0066c384, Aug 30, 2011
I think Spanish people consider morning as ending around 2:00: p.m. so midnight is probably 12 de la noche; 12 de la mañana would be mediodía. - 0074b507, Aug 30, 2011

Las doce del día o mediodía

Nothing scientific about it, but customarily (at least, in the U.S.) the citation below applies:

"Strictly speaking, 12 a.m. denotes midnight, and 12 p.m. denotes noon, but there is sufficient confusion over these uses to make it advisable to use 12 noon and 12 midnight where clarity is required."

We had a thread recently addressing this.
