Gintar , new creator of the Picture of the Day , Thanks a lot Marianne

Question

We are happy to be able to announce that the Picture of the Day has a new and final creator and corrector: Gintar!

Gintar has kindly agreed to create and correct, so we owe him double

It is a hard job and we have had some difficulty in finding a suitable and above all, as you all noticed, a reliable person for this nice thread, invented by the never forgotten Isabella.

Gintar is a trusted user of this site and has proven to be extremely helpful, I hope you will all appreciate his and our effort to keep the thread alive which with such few natives on board is not an easy deal.

Let's all thank Marianne for her effort to keep the thread going while we were looking for a member to take over, this has not been easy for her as she is busy with her husband and trying to teach him some Spanish, not an easy issue, I guess, what can I say...M E N!

Thank you very much Marianne for picking up the Picture of the Day after it had been stopped for several days - a lot of people really love these threads (including me), and a lot of people learn a lot from these threads (also including me)....

...and a huge gracias to Gintar!! He really helped me tremendously because for several days, the Palabra del Día was without a corrector, and Gintar graciously stepped up and helped me, with great corrections, and I appreciate it very much!!

I am excited that he is going be doing the Picture of the Day - he has been a great friend on SD, a huge help to a lot of people, and he is a wonderful choice as the new poster of the Picture of the Day!!

By the way, as a side note....I assume that Gintar will be posting the Picture in the evenings, as that is when he is able to do the corrections. Therefore, starting Thursday, I am going to change the time of the Palabra del Día back to the original time, which is around 5AM to 6:30AM EST....I hope this is ok with everyone....
