¿Aquí -o- Acá? What's the difference?
Aqui o Acá
I was wondering what the difference in usage is between "aquí" and "acá." As far as I can tell there isn't much of a difference. I've seen the following examples:
Eres acá - You are here
Estoy aquí - I am here
He aquí (algo) - Here is (something)
Ven acá - Come here
I'm sure there are slight differences in meaning. I'm hoping someone will be able to share the benefit of their knowledge.

He estado pensando en las diferencias en uso entre "aquí" y "acá." Paréce que no hay diferencias grandes. He visto los exemplos siguientes:
Eres acá - You are here
Estoy aquí - I am here
He aquí (algo) - Here is (something)
Ven acá - Come here
Estoy seguro hay diferencias débiles en la significanza. Espero que alguien pudiere compartir el beneficio de su conocimiento.
También, por favor, correge mi español si tiene el tiempo!

Aquí - I would say = right here
Acá - I would say = around here / here abouts
I agree with Ian, however this may vary by region. The following link
provides some useful reading.
As far as Mexican usage is concerned, "aquí" is slightly more exacting than "acá" as Ian has mentioned. You can be even more precise by saying "aquí mero," which you would never do with "acá."
While you are thinking about the differences between aquí, acá, allí, ahí, and allá, you should think about the following situations in English:
(You are standing between two tables in a restaurant) Do you want to sit here or there? (The two tables are the same distance from you--in fact the one you called "here" might be farther away--but the use of here and there has nothing to do with that. Spanish is the same.)
I live here in the USA (The whole country is not very specific on the location, and it doesn't mean much in that sense. Spanish is the same.)
I know lots of people around here. ("Around here" is much more vague as to location than "here", but it is pretty clear that you are speaking about an area much smaller than the whole USA. Spanish is the same.)
I could go on, but you should be getting the general idea that these really specific rules for the meanings of the words don't exist in actual usage, just like they don't exist in English.
PS. I learned the specific distance and speaker vs. listener stuff first and it does help, but don't get hung up on it.
I agree with Jeremías. I am from Argentina and here we usually use acá There is no difference in meaning between acá and aquí here.
When we want to say around here, we use por acá (though por aquí would also be correct)
You are here would be estás aquí o estás acá
