If this is the correct herb in Spanish: Wikipedia- Ruda
Here is the same site in English: Wikipedia- Common Rue
And the latin would appear to be Ruta graveolens

It does list medicinal uses of this plant in the listings, and as far as I can tell Ruda does refer to Rue, which is used as a medicinal herb. - Stadt, Aug 28, 2011
