Oculto

hidden, concealed; mysterious, occult

DO NOT use the translator!! ¡No usar el traductor!

**Work must be done by yourself. This thread is about YOUR ability not the ability of the translator. wink**

Post your sentences in Spanish and English, then vote for the ones you like. The best answer will be chosen tomorrow on the basis of the greatest number of votes and language correctness.

These threads are kindly moderated by **Gintar77**. Please correct your posts according to Gintar’s indications and suggestions smile.

Posts which will not be corrected or accepted:
• Captions with 3 words or less
• Paragraphs with more than 4 lines
• Posts which cannot be understood after they are read three or four times
• Posts which consist mainly of lyrics or idioms which do not translate.
• Captions copied directly from books or other sources.
• Multiple posts from one person, or those who don't write the sentences in both English and Spanish.
• Remember to use the Word of the Day in a typical Spanish sentence. This is great practice for you and for everyone that reads the thread to see how the Word of the Day could be used in a sentence.

Remember to correct your posts as suggested or they can NOT be "accepted".
Do not use subject pronouns in Spanish. (You'll be sent to the dunce corner!)
Please refrain from overloading with graphic content (ie; bold smileys, etc). It makes it harder for the correctors to be able to read your posts…. )

My Example:

No creo en cosas que tengan que ver con las fantasmas, sin embargo una vez traté de probarles a mis amigos que los espíritus ocultos eran falsos, y que el taberlo Ouije es un juego. No quiero decir lo que pasó esa noche, pero nunca jugaré con un tablero Ouije otra vez.

I do not believe in things like ghosts, however once I was trying to prove to my friends that hidden spirits are fake, and that the Ouije board is a game. I don’t want to say what happened that night, but I will never play with a Ouije board again.

Thanks Q and Gintar....and sorry I was late - my parents came to visit, and my step-mom immediately grabs my computer and goes to Facebook...I had to wrestle it away from her, type something close to Spanish and post it before she regained control.... - 001a2987, Aug 27, 2011
It wasn't quite that extreme, but close - jajajaja - 001a2987, Aug 27, 2011

Oculto dentro de la cabeza es el poder a librarse de sus miedos.

With Gintar's comments:

Todo el mundo tiene sus secretos ocultos y estoy de acuerdo pero a veces hay quien se pasa como el monstruo de Austria.

Everyone have their hidden secrets and I agree with it but sometimes there are those who over do it like the Monster of Austria.

Hay un sótano cerrado en unas de las casas en España . Después que la licencia ha sidio concedida es posible de hacer una habitación oculta. Pero esto es contra la ley.

There is an enclosed basement in some of the houses in Spain . After the license has been granted it is possible to make a secret room . But this is against the law.

Es muy triste cuando no se puede destapar la belleza oculta o quizás debería seguir oculta porque una vez que se descubre las consecuencias podrían ser fatales.

It's very sad when you can't uncover the hidden beauty or maybe it should remain hidden because once it's uncovered the consequences could be fatal.
