weekend= "fin de semana" so yes it's the right translation

And for plural:

Los fines de semana.

NOT los fines de semanas.

Yes, fin de semana is weekend.

Week = semana (femine noun), so if you wanted to say this week, you would say,

Esta semana.

El fin de semana = weekend (masculine), so if you wanted to say this weekend, you would say,

Este fin de semana.

The correct translation for the weekend would be,

El fin de semana.
