what is the female form of 'el buzo' ? i need to write about a female diver.

I believe the word only takes masculine form. You would need to specify female some other way.

Are you trying to say something simple like "she is a diver?" "Ella es un buzo." Unless I'm just totally wrong about this : P

Look at this couple ofexamples I found by Googling -

  • Estuvimos 9 buceadores en esta estupenda zona, frente a Sopelana. ..... 13 buzos y buzas hemos buceado en la zona del cementerio.

    • ...además de ser mi amiga y colega de profesión, es maestra, buza y una enamorada del mar.

Evidently at least some Spanish speakers think it's okay to say 'la buza'!

You can also use the word submarinista to mean diver, although I don't think it's as common.
