I should like to know, whether we are writing in spanish in the thou form, or not? As we have the wide range of age from the youngest to the oldest. While I am old I have no objection to receive the questions and answers in "thee " form, but what is the opinion of the others?

I have started writing the informal tú in the comments because, like Fred, I feel we are one family trying to learn Spanish. However, I got the feeling it is not appreciated by everybody, so now I try to remember who writes me back in the formal way and with them I use usted & su.

How you write is your decision. Sometimes forum members use familiar forms and sometimes they use formal forms. Write whatever way you are comfortable with. On this forum we treat each other like family, so I use the tú and vosotros forms.

Well I haven't been here super long, but I do think that asking and answering questions in the you familiar form makes for more friendly situations overall. It's nice to feel like you have things in common with the people you're learning from, so telling people tú just seams like the most friendly way to do it.

That's just my opinion though : )
