Confusing English Words Challenge 30

Question

Algunas palabras en inglés pueden crear confusion en los principiantes.

Some words in English can be confusing for learners.

This one is to practice the following words: - hard - tough - difficult

Both native Spanish and English speakers may answer - but write both Spanish and English sentences.

I would appreciate some help in checking the Spanish sentences.

Agradecería una cierta ayuda en la comprobación de las oraciones españolas.

I will "accept" the best effort after about a week

Every attempt will get a vote.

NOTE - we would normally need 2 sentences, one in each language, to illustrate how the the following are used.

a) Hard

b) Tough

c) Difficult

Futher explanation as to the different meanings may be given.

Please do not suggest new words - but pictures are welcome.

My attempt:

hard	Stay away from hard drugs!	¡Se mantienen alejados de las drogas duras!
tough	Sometimes a teenager will try to act tough when the police arrive.	A veces un adolescente hacerse el duro cuando la policía llega.
difficult	For me, it is difficult to walk on the rugged trails, so I walk on the moderate and easy ones.	Para mí, es difícil caminar por las sendas ásperas, si los camino moderada y fácil.

It's so hard to believe that our planet is the only place in universe capable to hold life.

Es difícil de creer que nuestro planeta sea el único lugar en el universo capaz de albergar vida.

Many discoveries have shown us that life can be hold even in tough and extreme enviroments.

Muchos descubrimientos no han demostrado que la vida puede existir incluso en entornos difíciles y extremos.

Our achivements and knowledge in 'exobiology' are still a tiny step, furthermore, time and space make difficult the seach of life in other planets, I can't imagine that life, at least as we know it, could one day disappear in the darkness.

Nuestros logros y conocimiento en exobiología son todavía un diminuto paso, adicionalmente, el tiempo y espacio hacen difícil la búsqueda de vida en otros planetas, no puedo imaginar que un día la vida, al menos como la conocemos, pueda desaparecer en la oscuridad.

It was a tough problem to solve, but at the end, the scientist was able to answer all the difficult questions.

This math exercise is very hard.

Este ejercicio de matemáticas es muy complicado.

b) Tough

Knowing that the work was in vain is an idea very tough to deal with.

Saber que el trabajo fue en vano es una idea muy dura de concebir.

c) Difficult

Loading this package from house to work is very difficult.

Cargar este paquete de la casa al trabajo es muy difícil.

I heard the exam was very difficult.
