More than 50, actually, not including its idiomatic expressions. In English "give" has more than 40. - lazarus1907, Aug 23, 2011

If you're a beginner, it means "to give", most of the time. It also has many, many more meanings and idiomatic expressions.

Se me da bien el inglés. I'm good at English.

Dar con algo. To find something.

I suggest typing it in the search box and looking over it's meanings to get a true look at it.

Dar can be used in many differenr ways. The most common use is to mean ''to give.''

¿Podrías darme tu número de telefono, por favor? = Could you give me your telephone number, please?

It can also be used to mean:

1.darse cuenta = to realize

eg: No me di cuenta de que (ella) hubo acabado de salir la casa.

= I didn't realize that she had just left he house.

2 Dar un paseo = to take a walk

eg: Después de almorzar voy a dar un paseo en el parque.

= After having lunch I am going to take a walk in the park.

1 **Dar de comer = To feed eg:

Tengo que dar de comer al perro = I have to feed the dog**.

These are just to give you some idea or a starting point

I hope this helps wink smile grin
