Worship is a common word. Obeisance is obscure.

They might mean the same thing, but no one will know what you are talking about if you say, "obeisance."

Here are the definitions from Webster's:

a movement of the body made in token of respect or submission : bow

acknowledgment of another's superiority or importance : homage

Okay. Ask your friends in the U.S. what it means and to use it in a sentence. - JoyceM, Aug 23, 2011

"Worship" is something that you do. Worhip definition.

"Obeisance" is something you give or pay. Obeisance definition.

I went to temple to worship god.

I went to temple to pay obeisance.

Hope this helps.
