"le" is the indirect object that is connected to the verb, ie: Hay que darle de comer ...... You should give him/her/it [something] to eat.

"Dar" is just the infinitive wink

"le" is an indirect object pronoun meaning "to him/her/it"

"Darle" means "to give somebody" but it hasn't yet been specified what is being given!

give it

dar = to give

le = refering to what you are giving (it)

Also you will not find it on a conjunction table because Dar is not conjegated. To say give it as a command you might say

dele or "darselo"

Darle = "to give to him/her/it". no? - Jeremias, Aug 22, 2011
'Le' is the indirect object, it refers to whom you're giving the direct object (lo) - SpanishPal, Aug 22, 2011
