housewarming

i'm creating an invite for a housewarming bbq, not sure of the spanish terminology for "housewarming"

There is no single word for that term that I know of. Housewarming party is "fiesta de estreno de una casa", if you want to write something, but we'd probably express it in a different way, like:

Vamos a celebrar una fiesta por haberte comprado la casa.

"Fiesta de inauguración", perhaps?

In Mexico I heard a lot of 'housewarming'...(vamos a tener un housewarming) but I am gathering that is from being close enough to the states to recognize the english word. There was another way to say it that I heard in south america, but cannot remember it at the momement, will let you know if I do.
