I have several questions that I have verbs to insert into each one and I don't know how to change the verb for that sentence. Example: ¿Cuánto dinero__________ustedes? Yo__________quinientos dólares y Tomás________setecientos.

The ending of the verb depends on the mood, tense, and on the person of the subject of the verb.

Helio assumed/determined a mood (indicative) and tense (present) in his answers.

Your subjects are:

ustedes= 3rd person, plural verb ending

yo=1st person singular verb ending

Tómas=3rd person, singular verb ending

To conjugate the verb in your 1st sentence as an example:

what you need to know:

  1. verb infinitive-tener (which verb that we are conjugating)
  2. mood that the verb is used in-indicative
  3. tense that the verb is used in-present tense
  4. person corresponding to the subject of the verb

With that information you look into the verb table and find the proper spelling of the conjugated verb. (the conjugation table is just a table showing the proper spelling of the verb for all possible persons of the subject, tenses, and moods of the verb)

At the top right of this page you can click on More and then select Conjugation on the drop-down menu. It will show you all the verb forms! Good luck with your studies.

I recommend you do the lessons in Learn Spanish 1. If I hadn't done them I couldn't tell you the answers. ¿Cuanto dinero tienen ustedes? Yo tengo quinientos dólares y Tomás tiene setecientos. Buena suerte.
