Room Checks (compruebas de los cuartos?)

I'm trying to figure out if there's a direct translation for ¨room check¨ in Spanish. Compruebas de los cuartos? Comprobaciónes de los cuartos? Revisiónes? Inspecciónes? What´s the best translation for ¨check¨ when used as a noun in this context? Thanks!

You may get a better answer, but I'd go with: la revisión de cuartos.

The correct verb might vary depending on what you are "checking" the room for. If performing a search (like a prisoner's cell) the verb might be different that if you are merely checking occupancy/vacancy on a list or whether someone is following a curfew restriction.
