"Pepito" is a boy's name. Do you mean "papito"? That could be a term of endearment.

"Pepito" is a boy's name.

This is true, but it comes from "Pepe." When wanting to be cute with someone's name in Spanish certain names can add "ito" to them to make them silly. Pepe becomes Pepito, Pedro becomes Pedrito, etc.

Similar to in English. Sam becomes "Sammy," "Haste" becomes "Hasty" or "hasters." etc.
