Lo daré todo "por su puesto" = I will give everything for his/her position.

El presidente no tiene miedo alguno "por su puesto". The president does not fear for his post at all.

If you mean "por supuesto," then just see the other answers.smile

Por supuesto que sí = Yes of course, or, absolutely.

Why does 'of course' mean 'of course', i.e. obviously, certainly, naturally, it goes without saying? Probably it hasn't got much to do with the other meanings of 'course'. We use it without thinking twice about it, just one of these expressions. My guess is that it's the same for 'puesto' in 'por supuesto'. wink

Naturalmente sé el sentido de la expresión "por supuesto " ,pero lo siento que esa tiene una inseguridad y la palabra verdadera seria " el cierto "

¿Que es la ópinion de Ustedes?

Naturally I know la significance of the expression " por supuesto " , but I feel in it a vagueness and it seems that the right word is "cierto".

What is your opinion ?
