money/weight scale

Does anyone know what you would call the old fashioned scales in spanish? (the ones where you put weight on one side to balance out the otherside?) The dictionary gave me pesillo, but when I reversed that/and googled it, wanting to make sure it was indeed common usage...it came up with a lot of random things, none of which was a scale. Anybody have any ideas?

"Balanza" should include the kind of scales you are talking about!

Yeah, it is wierd. The dictionary is still a little bit of a work in progress, I guess. Hopefully Heidita or someone will take note of this glitch and fix it. - Jeremias, Aug 15, 2011
I know the thing in English is called a "balance", so that's what I looked for in our dictionary. - SonrisaDelSol, Aug 15, 2011
