in the context of "la madre, de breve cabeza y pecho opulento, con esa serenidad majestuosa de las recien paridas"? it is a line from requiem por un campesino espanol and i don't quite get the translation/significance?

"Pecho" is bust, and "opulento" is.... well... opulent.

so what does it mean in the context? i don't understand the significance... is it because the woman has a baby? - charlotte-pearce, Aug 15, 2011

the mother, of short head and opulent breast, with the majestic serenity of the new mothers Recien parida is a women that just gave birth and must be una campesina espanola, no campesino espanol because refers to a woman

thanks.. i guess i just don't get the significance of it in the book. the book is called "requiem por un campesino espanol" - the title doesn't refer to the woman. thank you - charlotte-pearce, Aug 15, 2011
