DO NOT use the translator!! ¡No usar el traductor!

**Work must be done by yourself. This thread is about YOUR ability not the ability of the translator. wink**

Post your sentences in Spanish and English, then vote for the ones you like. The best answer will be chosen tomorrow on the basis of the greatest number of votes and language correctness.

These threads are kindly moderated by **StephenTrevor**. Please correct your posts according to StephenTrevor’s indications and suggestions smile.

Posts which will not be corrected or accepted:
• Captions with 3 words or less
• Paragraphs with more than 4 lines
• Posts which cannot be understood it is read three or four times
• Posts which consist mainly of lyrics or idioms which do not translate.
• Captions copied directly from books or other sources.
• Multiple posts from one person, or those who don't write the sentences in both English and Spanish.
• Remember to use the Word of the Day in a typical Spanish sentence. This is great practice for you and for everyone that reads the thread to see how the Word of the Day could be used in a sentence.

Remember to correct your posts as suggested or they can NOT be "accepted".
Do not use subject pronouns in Spanish. (You'll be sent to the dunce corner!)
Please refrain from overloading with graphic content (ie; bold smileys, etc). It makes it harder for the correctors to be able to read your posts…. )

My Example:

Por supuesto, soy el principito. Por eso, un día recibiré mi herencia y seré el pequeño rey…jejeje

Of course, I am the Little Prince. Therefore, one day I will receive my inheritance and I will be the Little King. jejeje

The only inheritance my parents left me is wisdom. At least, I think they were wise.

La única herencia de mis padres que me quedan es la sabiduría. Por lo menos, creo que eran sabios.

An inheritance doesn’t always consist of money and neither do you always have to wait until someone dies to receive it. It can be that you have inherited from your mother her good looks or her lousy hair. Or maybe from your father his very useful talent to pull a car with your eyelids . . . . . . . . .

In recognition of a part of my cultural heritage, I have a sign that says “céad míle fáilte” above my door. On the other hand, if I had wanted to have one in a language that my mother spoke as a child, the sign would have had to say “ceud mìle fàilte”.
