Disfrutar is to enjoy....divertirse is to have fun. That is the simplest way to explain the difference.

Think of a drink...

Disfruta coca-cola

might be written on the side of a can, but not "Diviertate con el coca-cola" ....or have fun with the coke.

"Disfrutar" is generally translated as "enjoy", but there are some differences. This verb is used when you experience pleasure in having or taking advantage of things, including good health or abilities. Used without an object it means to experience joy, which is something that you can do, for example, with friends.

"Divertirse" means to have fun.

Disfrutar is to enjoy something and divertirse is to enjoy yourself, I think.
