What's up with the translators?

Question

I am trying to do some research for the Peru Project and some of it involves using a translator. Is it just me or are our translators working at all. I know we absolutely do not use them in the daily threads. Have I missed it somewhere that they have been turned off or something? Is anyone else having a problem?

Are you looking for accuracy or whether they work- I haven't used one in a while, but I just cut and pasted your post into them, and it spit something out on all 3- I didn't check for accuracy (and probably can't)- but they did seem to do something. - Stadt, Aug 9, 2011

I am in firefox- did your paragraph above- no problem- took mixed Englsih and Spanish from the dictionary and it spun around and around- they have to recognize which language. - Stadt, Aug 9, 2011

Hola, Sanlee! I did a little test after seeing this thread.

Talk about irony...In Firefox, the translators weren't working, but in IE, they were working just fine!

I just tried to use them to double check something, and, no, it wasn't for one of the games It wouldn't work at all, and we have IE at work.

Luckily Google translates own site is working or I would have commented sad true dog, instead of sad but true. Amazing what difference one r can make. .

I have also noticed they haven't been working as well as before. I've had to click out of SD then back in and then sometimes it still doesn't work.

I have firefox so that would explain it and I haven't used them in a long time. Thanks everyone!
