London's burning

That's so horrible...what is the world coming to?
I will be keeping London in my prayers...
To all SD members in London, stay safe please!
I know it doesn't mean an end to the violence, but here is one positive story among all the horror stories from the riots:
In one immigrant-laden part of London, hundreds of Indian Sikh men and Turkish men have taken to patrolling the streets of their neighborhoods, and standing arm in arm in front of shops to protect their communities from looters and vandals. So far I think they've been successful in limiting the destruction, at least in their area. God bless these men and to all of you in England, stay safe!
Here's an interesting quote attributed to Martin Luther King, I don't know if he actually said this, "A riot is the voice of the unheard" It does give pause for thought if you want to understand how the society fails
. This is something the politicians will not consider... unfortunately
It seems that you and Wilber are concerned about the same topic and for very good reason!!!! I have not been keeping up on world news as much as I do at home, but did catch this story on an American channel.
The destruction to the city of London is so sad. Although I am not completely sure what all of the protests are about, I hope and pray that a more peaceful resolution can be sought, especially before anyone is seriously injured or worse. Also, I would hate to see anything of historical significance destroyed.
This is sooooo sad!!!!!
