My Example:
Siempre he creído que es absurdo cuando oigo a las personas decir que no quieren hablar otros idiomas, y que si las personas están en nuestra país, deberían hablar inglés. Es una actitud absurda.
I have always thought that it is absurd when I hear people say that they don’t want to speak any other language, and that if people are in our country that they should speak English. It is an absurd attitude.

Sé que no te gusta mi manera de conducir, pero esto es absurdo. No necesitas abrocharte el cinturón de seguridad por todos lados y después cerrar los ojos por miedo. I know you don’t like the way I drive, but this is ridiculous. You don’t have to fasten the safety belt from all sides and then close your eyes out of fear. I know I failed my exam 6 times before I got my driver’s license, but there is no need to rub it in . . . . .
It's absurd to think you gain anything by using the translator.
