I want to correctly order food in Spanish

En una taquería (taco stand), puedes pedirle al taquero:
--¿De qué tiene? (what do you have to eat?)
--De bistec, cecina, costilla, chuleta... (steak, dried meat, rib, chop...)
--Me da dos (tacos) de bistec. (Or "Deme dos de bistec", or simply: "Dos de bistec").
--¿Con todo? (todo means: with cilantro and onion?).
--Sin cebolla.
-- (Salsa) ¿Verde o roja? (red sauce: red tomato sauce with ancho chiles and chile de arbol; green sauce: charred tomatillo sauce with jalapeno chiles).
--¿Pica? (Is it hot?)
--No mucho (it is mildly hot, very subjective).
--Roja, entonces... poca. (not much).
--¿Y de tomar? (what are you going to drink?)
--Una Fanta de naranja.
Buen provecho!

Here in Ecuador, the conversation is more like:
¡Digame!
Ponme una cerveza y XXX.
. . .you might add a Niño at the front if the guy is older than you
It is also more polite when ordering food to start off with "Me gustaría..." which means "I would like..."...as opposed to "Can I have..." or "I want..."
Me gustaría una cerveza...= I would like a beer... (more polite)
Quiero una cerveza... = I want a beer...(correct, but not so polite)
A simple formula would be...
"¿Puedo tener (insert food name here), por favor?

I always use "Me gustaría/n.....", "Quisiera/Quisiese....", or "¿Podrías/Podría/Pusieras/Pusiera darme.......? I remember being corrected several times by natives for using "¿Puedo tener...? They know what is being said, but it sounds bad.
If you are in a restaurant, you can say:
¿Puedo ordenar FOOD, por favor? Muchas gracias...
I remember when I just started learning Spanish, I wanted to order "dos tacos de camerones" (two prawn tacos) but instead I said "dos tacos de canalónes, por favor!" (two tacos from the gutter, please!). The wait staff had a pretty good laugh...
