I'm looking for a word two close girlfriends (young girls) would call each other. Like a word that would mean to feel like sisters when they are not actually related.

Maybe:
Bosom friend -> amigo de corazón
Best friend -> mejor amiga
BFF -> many Spanish people say BFF!
l don't know if there's something like ''sis'' in Spanish, but hermana, or hermanita (little sister) sounds good for me

Mejores amigas o Amigas de siempre
If you are looking for something that convays "closer then sisters" I would just say that.
"Mi amiga es más hermana que amiga."
