Anything but normal...
I was watching Heroes, and a character said, "Normal? We're anything but."
How would you say the second sentence in Spanish? Phrasally speaking, how would you say "(pronoun) is/are anything but (adjective)?" Thanks

What about 'Somos todo menos eso' - just a guess though ![]()
I'm always trying to figure out little phrases like that, too.
I would say it like this:
¿Normal? Somos cualquiera salvo eso.
I'm not a native speaker and there may be ways to say that closer to the English. And my suggestion may end up being wierd Spanish! If so, I will appreciate suggestions.
I am sure you can safely say
¿Normal? No somos así.
But that wouldn't be addressing your question.
We can both stay tuned,
J
