¿Comó se dice 'hagas cinta' en ingles? - From Lesson 2.15

In Spanish lesson 2.15 (Healthy Recommendations in the Subjunctive), one of the example sentences went like, «Recomiendo que hagas cinta.» It showed a guy on a treadmill, but whenever I looked for clarification on translators, they told me things like "make/do tape/belt/band."
So what does "hagas cinta" mean exactly in English? Is it supposed to be interpreted as using a treadmill, since the tread of a treadmill is a belt/band? Thanks for your help in advance!

I think the full term is cinta de correr - for treadmill but it just gets shortened to 'cinta' and to be using it is described by the the verb 'hacer' - to do.
