I know this is off topic from your question, but I wanted to take a stab at the Spanish to see if I could come up with something intelligible.
I know nothing of the Taíno language.

To Taíno???? Are you going to send the message back in time? If I remember correctly, the last speaker of Taíno died over 50 years ago, although there might be some dialects mixed with Spanish and other languages still in some places.
