what does "tender" as a verb mean in Spanish?
There are so many meanings in dictionary for this verb, I'm confused. What should I understand of this verb "tender" if I have to frame a sentence?

Here's what I have on my flashcard (built from this very site, haha):
to hang out (clothing)
to lay/stretch out
to extend (one's hand)
to tend to
Let's try these out in some sentences...
Ella tendió la bufanda en la cuerda. (She hung the scarf on the rope.)
Él se tendía en el suelo después del trabajo. (He used to stretch out on the ground after work.)
Por favor me tiende la mano. (Please give me your hand.)
He tenido a levantarme muy temprano. (I have tended to rise very early.)

Which dictionary did you look at it in? Our dictionary seems to have an error. Whether you select tender under Spanish or English it takes you to the same page of definitions, which to me are explaining the English word tender in Spanish.
The definitions in Spanish are saying: soft (tender meat), loving, to offer a contract, someone that minds a train, etc. which are definitions of the English word tender.
