Question regarding relation between Asia and Latin America
Is there any relation or significant event or international cooperation going on between Asia and Latin America? If there is any significant work going on right now or in the future, I would like to know.

Another issue that makes Latin America attractive for foreign investors is that since many of the countries were having debt problems in the 80's they showed fiscal restraint in the last couple of decades. While the U.S. and european countries have been getting in over their heads with debt, Latin American countries were saying 'no thanks' to the Wall Street financial types that issue and place sovereign debt.
This means that relatively speaking, they could appear more stable for investors, not considering political instability or the risk of military coups.
China has surpassed the US in terms of investment and trade in many parts of South America. Politicians in the US say this is because of changes that discourage investment, but the truth is closer to the US not having enough money anymore.
The most politically significant issue that links Latin America to Asia is that Venezuela backs Iran against the U.S. Also many Latin Americans headed by Hugo Chavez think that the uprisings in several Arab countries are a conspiracy orchestrated by the USA. Of course there are trade ties between Asian and Latin American countries.I can't recall any other kinds of cooperation. 
Do you mean in general, or do you have specific countries in mind? I'm not sure if Latin America has an alliance group yet (last I heard, Brasil was pushing for one), but Asia's is called ASEAN. You could do a search for them and see what they are working on. Also, I know that Russia and China works with Cuba and Venezuela and probably some other countries. Finally, it might take a little more work, but you could search for info about each country to see which other countries they have agreements with. Mongolia is working with countries in all parts of the world, learning as much as they can about the mining industry. Hope this gives you some ideas.
