Best books to read to help develope fluency in Spanish?

I'm starting with Madrigals Magic Key to Spanish... Is this decent to start with?

Oh my goodness, that was one of the first books I ever had for learning, and that was a very long time ago. I would call that one of the better books that are out there regardless of its age. Please , as you progress keep that one in your library for reference. it is most useful.

I really like the Harry Potter books in Spanish.

I don't think attaining "fluency" is a matter of reading any particular books. It's a matter of reading lots and lots of different books and magazines and, most importantly, speaking with and listening to a lot of native Spanish speakers.

Reading something like Madrigals Magic Key, in and of itself, will do nothing for your fluency.

I had heard good things about Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish so I bought a copy last week. I have not been disappointed at all.

I've gone through The Magic Key to Spanish two times and it is great for working with all of the tenses. I just wish I could remember them all!

I have "Madrigals Magic Key to Spanish" I think it is very helpful, if not a bit out-dated. I use it a lot to try to broaden my Spanish vocabulary.

I very much liked Easy Spanish Step-by-Step. A good mix of good explanations, TONS of vocabulary in context, and lots of exercises.
