And specially why the "se"?
The context is:
Yo veo películas en la televisión en español. Se aprende mucho.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Se aprende mucho = One learns a lot
"Se" is the "impersonal se" where you use the third person singular conjugation of a verb.
