I'm doing a three way translator from cornish to english to spanish...

one of the words is broom (the plant) and then the collective of broom.

The translator says that the word for broom is 'retama' and so would the collective term be 'retamas'?

Gracias smile

Yep, that should work for the plural sense of the word:

retamas, ginestas, o plantas del género Genista

As for Kernowek or Kernewek, not much help there! raspberry

I would say yes, just add the "s" according to the plural rules of Spanish.

retama.

(Del ár. hisp. ratáma, y este del ár. clás. ratamah).

  1. f. Mata de la familia de las Papilionáceas, de dos a cuatro metros de altura, con muchas verdascas o ramas delgadas, largas, flexibles, de color verde ceniciento y algo angulosas, hojas muy escasas, pequeñas, lanceoladas, flores amarillas en racimos laterales y fruto de vaina globosa con una sola semilla negruzca. Es común en España y apreciada para combustible de los hornos de pan.
