Spanish poems
It would be nice to read the poems of interesting modern Spanish poets and translate some difficult expressions from their work

Hey Mia,
Why don't you give that a try? Do some translations of something you find difficult, and post it here for comments?
What a great idea!

Also we don´t forget the "copla"! wiki: "The copla is a poetic form of four verses that provides found in many Spanish popular songs as well as in Spanish language literature".
Example: singer Estrellita Castro. A sad song about exile
This poet looks interesting.
P.s. please only post one thread on a single topic. Thanks!
Tu Risa by Pablo Neruda is my favorite. Enjoy!

My favorite are Federico Garcia Lorca, Antonio Machado, Miguel Hernández... and from the Golden century Garcilaso de la Vega.
Para Jorden365, como tu sugeriste:
Tu Risa - De Pablo Neruda:
Take from me (my) bread if you want. Take the air from me, but dont take from me your laughter.
Dont take from me the rose, the thorn that you sprout, the water that so soon, erupts in your happiness the sudden wave of silver which bore you.
My struggle is hard and I return sometimes with tired eyes of having seen the land which does not change, but at the appearance of your laughter, it rises to the sky searching for me and opens for me all the doors of life.
My love in the darkest hour sprouts your smile and if suddenly you see that my blood stains the stones of the street, laugh. because your laughter will be like a new sword for my hands
Together with the sea in Autumn, your laugh must lift its cascading foam and in the spring, my love i want your laughter as the flower for which Ive waited, the blue flower, the rose of my home, Sonora.
Laugh at the night at the day, at the moon, laugh at the twisted streets of the island, laugh at this awkward boy who you love, but when I open my eyes and close them, when my footsteps leave, when my footsteps return, deny me bread... air... the light, the spring, but never your laughter Because I would die.
