Chendo is Mexican slang for a lighter. IF your sentence was ahí esta el chendo it would mean "there's the lighter".

Chendo is also the nickname for Rosendo and since the article "el" is missing like gintar pointed out, I would say that the sentence means "there's Rosendo (Chendo/Randy)".

Chendo is Mexican slang for a lighter. So your sentence is saying "there is the lighter".

Interesting, new word for me! However, if this is the case, I would expect the sentence to be "ahí está el chendo."

For "ahí está Chendo", it sounds like "Chendo" might be someone's name/nickname.

There's Chendo.

good catch, didn't notice the lack of el. In that case it is definitely the nickname for Rosendo - bafalck, Jul 30, 2011
