Hi, I was wondering how you say work (as in an occupation) in Spanish. I know work is trabajo, but I was wondering if it would still be trabajo in an instance like "How was work?"

Try this: ¿Cómo te fue en el trabajo?

Trabajo can translate as work or a job.
conseguir trabajo - to get or find work, to get or find a job
buscar trabajo - to look for work or for a job
quedarse sin trabajo - to lose one's job
no tiene trabajo fijo - he doesn't have a steady job
